Mammoth in the Community
Mammoth are regularly involved in the community providing sponsorship and assistance to a number of groups.
emergency 2.0 wiki project
Through our involvement in the Gov 2.0 community in Queensland, we have provided this important project with the technical tools they need to make a difference. The goals of the group are:
- To provide best practice guidelines on how to utilise social media in all phases of emergency management (PPRR):
- Emergency Prevention/Mitigation
- Emergency Preparation
- Emergency Response
- Emergency Recovery
- To facilitate collaboration, knowledge sharing and crowdsourcing across the emergency, government, community, business and ICT sectors
- To provide up to date news on the latest developments in emergency 2.0 and emergency communications
To help the group achieve this, Mammoth Media have provided hosting through Mammoth VPS, a blog site that keeps all of the various members and contributors across the globe informed and of course, a wiki platform to allow this group of emergency management leaders to share their knowledge.
We continue to be involved with this important work supporting the team with their technical requirements, and providing advice on how best to leverage their technical platforms for their needs.
