It took Mammoth Media just over two months to develop BigPond Weather in 2006. The goal was to develop an ambitious “Web 2.0″ site without the use of Flash, requiring zero maintenance. BigPond Weather is sophisticated auto-update mechanism, built with a variety of components built in C++ and C#/.NET ingest XML data from a variety of sources to populate the site with data and ensure it is reliably kept up-to-date with the latest weather information.
